ரஜினி பிறந்த நாள் அவரது ரசிகர்களுக்கு மட்டுமல்ல, சேனல்களுக்கும் கொண்டாட்டமான நாள். தமிழ்சினிமாவில் தனக்கென ஒரு ராஜபாட்டையை உருவாக்கிக் கொண்ட ரஜினிக்கு இந்த மரியாதையை கூட கொடுக்கவில்லையென்றால் எப்படி? இந்த நோக்கத்தோடுதானா, அல்லது டி.ஆர்.பி. எகிறுமே என்பதாலா, தெரியாது. ஆனால் ரஜினியை பெருமைப்படுத்த நான் நீ என்று போட்டி போட்டுக் கொண்டு வேலை செய்யும் எல்லா சேனல்களும்.

நிருபர்களுக்கு ஒரு மாதத்திற்கு முன்பே கட்டளை போட்டுவிடுவார்கள், ‘போற எடத்துல எந்த விஐபி யை பார்த்தாலும் விடாதீங்க. ரஜினி பற்றி கேட்டு ஒரு பைட் எடுத்துருங்க’ என்று. அப்படிதான் சமீபத்தில் ஒரு நிகழ்ச்சிக்கு வந்திருந்த நடிகை சுஹாசினியை வளைத்துக் கொண்டார் ஒரு சேனல் நிருபர். ‘மேடம்… ரஜினி சார் பிறந்த நாள் ஸ்பெஷல் பண்றோம். அவருக்கு ஒரு பிறந்த நாள் வாழ்த்து சொல்லிடுங்களேன்…’ – இது நிருபர். இதற்கு சுஹாசினி சொன்ன பதில்தான் ஐயோ ரகம்.

‘ஏன்ங்க…. என் பிறந்த நாளுக்கு நீங்க போய் அவருகிட்ட பேட்டி கேட்டா கொடுத்துருவாரா? ஏன் என்னை மட்டும் அவருக்கு வாழ்த்து சொல்ல சொல்றீங்க. ஸாரி… என்னால அப்படியெல்லாம் சொல்ல முடியாது’. படக்கென்று முகத்தில் அடித்தாற் போல சொல்லிவிட்டு இடத்தை காலி பண்ணிவிட்டார் அவர். சுஹாசினியின் இந்த பதிலால், அதற்கப்புறம் அங்கு வந்திருந்த வேறு சில நடிகைகள் பக்கம் கூட போகவில்லை நிருபர்.

Dec.12th is a special day for Kollywood and all TV channels as they vie with each other to celebrate Rajini’s birthday in a grand manner. As the D-day is nearing, reporters crowd celebrities for a bite to be aired on the special occasion. Recently a reporter had approached Suhasini who participated in an event for greeting message to Rajini on his birthday. Suhasini’s response was quite unexpected. She is said to have told the reporter, “If you go and ask him for a birthday message, will he respond? Why then you are asking me to give him the birthday wish? I can’t do it.” The angry response puzzled the reporter who did not even attempt the same with other actresses who were around there. Well! There is no harm in greeting a person on his birthday; and it is minimum courtesy. If she does not want to wish she could have avoided it saying one thousand one excuses. And it is surprising when it comes from the stature of a person like Suhasini.
